CHRIS EACOTT

Chris Eacott, PhD, spent most of his working career (25 years) in technical and commercial management roles within ICI and its daughter companies (Zeneca and Avecia). Since the late 1990s he has developed in-depth knowledge of best-practice chemical industry product stewardship principles and processes. He founded his own business, Stewardship Solutions Ltd, in 2003, and provides chemicals training and regulatory compliance services to a wide range of industry sectors, primarily across North America, Europe and the Far East.

• Endorsed by the UK’s REACHReady service as an expert provider of REACH Compliance services.
• Preferred REACH Only Representative on behalf of many chemical producing and using companies across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
• Trainer and advisor to the foremost international provider of EH&S software solutions.
• Auditor of the chemical management processes (including writing technical procedures) of the European arm of a major US multinational household products company.
• Contracted to undertake a Chemicals Trade Controls audit of the UK-subsidiary of a major US-headquartered chemical manufacturer.
• Product stewardship and REACH advisor to the Green Chemistry Initiative, California EPA.
• Audited the product stewardship programmes and processes of the Asia Pacific (Singapore) and European regional businesses of a major international speciality chemicals company. 
• Selected from among several consultancies as the REACH service provider of choice by a leading UK High Street retailer. 
• Undertook REACH status assessments of the German & UK subsidiary business units of a major US-based multinational chemical company.
• Contracted to provide REACH support to the UK manufacturing arm of a leading US-headquartered global consumer brand.
• Contracted by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) to help complete ICCA’s Global Product Strategy product stewardship guidelines. 
• At short notice, managed a regulatory / HS&E due diligence project on behalf of a major Japanese pharmaceutical company, seeking to acquire a UK biotech.
• Periodically run REACH and product stewardship training on behalf of companies and organisations including Pharmachemical Ireland, Lancaster Environment Centre (part of Lancaster University), and the UK Solvents Industry Association.
• Member of the advisory board of ICIS Chemical Business, the leading weekly international chemical journal.
