KEVIN BARRETT
 Kevin provides comprehensive product stewardship, Responsible Care® and occupational safety & health services to clients primarily in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. He is an experienced chemicals risk assessor and has undertaken product-use risk assessments through numerous supply chains including textiles, personal care & household products, disinfection, lubricants, coatings, plastics, medical etc. Previously, Kevin was the global Industrial Hygiene Manager at Avecia, Inc. (previously part of ICI Americas and Zeneca), where he led the Occupational Health Network, including toxicologists and medical staff, in managing risks of exposure to potent chemical intermediates and active compounds.

EXPERIENCE
- Led development and implementation of a Responsible Care® Management System for a major US-based international chemical client, achieving certification in June, 2007.
- Developed and implemented product stewardship procedures and product-use risk assessments across various business units of a major international specialty chemical company
- Led development and implementation of a corporate occupational safety, health, and environmental management system in preparation for RC 14001© Certification.
- Comprehensive industrial hygiene program development and implementation for a pharmaceutical laboratory/pilot plant client. Specific programs included respiratory protection, hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and exposure assessment.
- Developed a safety, health, and environmental operational auditing program for a pharmaceutical client, with implementation currently underway.
- Development of Material Safety Data Sheets for potent pharmaceutical compounds.
- Audits of compliance with OSHA safety and health regulations and corporate standards for multiple facilities of a specialty chemical client.
