The 31 May 2018 REACH registration deadline for substances produced or imported in the EU over 1tpa is especially challenging for small and medium-sized (SME) businesses; many will be drawn into the registrations process for the first time. The costs of registration can be very high, and there is a high risk of mistakes being made by the inexperienced.
Stewardship Solutions can help
- advise if a registration is actually required;
- develop a tailored registrations plan to 2018, especially if many substances may need registering;
- advise non-EU companies and their EU importer-customers about the challenging indirect-imports scenario;
- review SIEF & consortium agreements;
- value Letter of Access (LOA) charges in those instances where they may be considered unfair;
- help challenge and negotiate a reduction in LOA charges when appropriate;
- undertake all types of REACH registrations, including opt-out and individual registrations when necessary.
